Charter schools are turning 20 in Oklahoma!
Please consider joining us and other public charter school students, parents, faculty and staff from across the state on the morning of October 17 to celebrate Oklahoma’s charter schools and their contribution to education in Oklahoma.
We will gather at 10 a.m. on the Myriad Botanical Gardens’ Devon Lawn and Band Shell in
downtown Oklahoma City for “Oklahoma’s Charter Schools: 20 Years of Reinventing Public
Education.” Our purpose will be to demonstrate public support for Oklahoma’s charter school program, established 20 years ago in 1999 and to help educate the public about the importance of charter schools to countless parents and students.
This event is free and open to everyone. It is co-hosted by the Oklahoma Public Charter School Association and ChoiceMatters, an Oklahoma City nonprofit organization’s parent advocacy program. More information about this event can be found on their website: edchoicematters.org/charter-20th .
Please RSVP if you plan to join this celebration!
