About Phillip Przybylo

Phillip Przybylo, also known as Mr. Prizz, is the Gifted and Talented Resource Coordinator for both Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy and Insight School of Oklahoma. His passion for writing and compassion for young students led him to the field of education. He never forgets what it was like to be a student, and he has long found that the teacher-student connection is a profound one that makes learning a two-way street. 

After graduating and teaching in Ohio for several years, Przybylo moved to Oklahoma to serve as an English Language Arts teacher at OVCA. His creative lessons/projects and humorous live classes were hallmarks of his style. He was named Chair of the English Department at OVCA High School and went on to win the OVCA District Teacher of the Year award in 2019. He sought to make a bigger impact and became Assistant Principal at the high school shortly thereafter.  After a brief hiatus, Przybylo returned to OVCA to the Gifted and Talented Program to resume the rewarding and meaningful work in education.

Przybylo has long been supported by his wife, Miriam, a nurse's aide and photographer. They have a brilliant daughter, Blessie, and a small family of pets--the dog, Elon, and the two cats, Venus and Amara. Przybylo enjoys day trips and photoshoots are the norm on days off with Miriam. Gaming and documentaries are the norm on many afternoons and evenings with Blessie.
