About Lana Mecca

Lana Mecca started teaching math at ISOK Middle School the Fall of 2022.  Prior to that she taught math for more than twenty-five years in public schools in Wyoming, Virginia, and Oklahoma.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Eastern Connecticut, a Bachelor's degree in secondary education from the University of Wyoming, and a Master's degree in middle level math also from University of Wyoming.  Lana also obtained her National Board Certification in adolescent mathematics in 2014. Lana is married and has four grown daughters, three sons-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren.  She enjoys traveling to visit family since her daughters are spread out from coast to coast.
